TO: Pixie, Odarite, ALJSouth, oldtimer, anotheroldtimer, johnthorton (and any other ALJ I have missed--sorry--ps help me here folks:)
MERRY CHRISTMAS, CHANUKAH, AND A HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR!
First, all us attorneys wish to thank you Judges for the time, counsel and willingness to "give us a talking to!" May the New Year bring less headache and our bright faces to your doorstep to lighten your load. I know that this Board, while sometimes a source of anxiety, has been a real boost to me and others giving this job my best shot. And we have you to thank for that!
THANK YOU!

I second the emotion. This board has been a great resource and the words of advice have helped many of us get through this process with a little less anxiety. Thank you.

Glad to be able to help all of you. And thanks to Drone for starting the board. Without him we would probably still be on the old board. I had thought about starting a new board, but just never found the time. May have done it by now, or maybe not. At any rate there is no need to think about it now as the Drone pulled through when we needed him. Thanks, Drone, Pix.

You're entirely welcome, and same to you and yours! Happy to pass on any useful information I possess, with a dollop of cynicism, to the "next generation."

Collectively, you are all very welcome. And I, too add my thanks to Drone and Pix for keeping us honest and my fellow ALJs for keeping us interesting.

I would like to add my thanks as well - not exactly belated since I only found the site Friday! I'm aiming for Sacramento or Seattle via a 1/10 interview. Appreciate the sage advice from those in the know, information re status and shared anxieties!
May we all have an enjoyable December with safe and delay-free travels in January!

Welcome to the Club, Camedlaw. Please report your score, either by posting or by private message so the guys can mix it into the statistical brew they are stirring. Pix.
Edit: You can report your score privately to Semipa, who is doing the statistical research on this topic. Find his private message address by clicking on his name in the thread about scores above.

Thanks to Pixie and all the regulars for making this board the pleasant and informative place it is today. ;D The ALJ testing and hiring process is stressful and crazy enough without all the trolls and griefers on the old board. And I can't tell you guys how gratifying it is to be able to discuss the issues in a rational, polite manner.
Moving forward, I wish everyone the best of luck and a wonderful 2008! Let's all continue to support each other as the process moves forward. And I look forward to hearing the good news from many of you. Thanks and happy holidays!

Workdrone:
Please consider yourself at the top of the card and thanks, Pixie for correcting my oversight!
Thanks to this Board I've learned alot about ODAR, that all of us on this cert and being interviewed have a shot to be an ALJ, what we should emphasize at the interview, that I am not a dolt based upon my score, what to bring to the interview--just to name a few very important "items"....thanks, Drone.

Thanks Workdrone and Shadow. I may even change my socks-what an experience! Question: Should I wear the Crown of Aquilonia to the interview or just keep it in my briefcase in case they ask? CTB

Well said. It is refreshing to get information without all the "other" stuff which may experienced elsewhere. Hapy Holidays.
