The Federal Administrative Law Judges Conference (FALJC) cordially invites applicants for the ALJ examination to join us at our annual conference to be held September 8-11, 2013, in Orlando, Florida.
Some of you may already be familiar with FALJC. FALJC is a professional association of federal ALJs with members encompassing every federal agency that employs ALJs. We were founded in 1947, shortly after passage of the Administrative Procedure Act, making us the oldest ALJ organization in the country. Each year we hold an educational conference in a selected location. This year's conference will be held in Orlando. For the first time, we are inviting candidates for the ALJ position to join us in Florida for our 50th Annual Conference. The registration fee for non-members is $350, which includes two full days of CLE, a welcoming reception and dinner, and breakfast both days. This year we will be discussing the ALJ Selection process on one of our panels and we foresee a lively discussion.
For those of you interested in becoming ALJs, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about FALJC, to hear about what ALJs do in a myriad of federal agencies, and to meet ALJs from all over the country in a friendly and relaxed setting. Space is limited so we do ask that you respond to us no later than June 30, 2013. For more information about the conference, including the program schedule and hotel information, visit our website at www.faljc.org or email FALJC at membership@faljc.org. You can also post any questions here and we will try to respond in a timely manner.
We look forward to seeing you in Orlando this September, and the members of FALJC wish you all good luck with the ALJ exam!
