Same here, still no email setting dates. I wonder if gottabeme has a special accommodations request, too. Maybe those are on a different time table? I thought the same thing. Though, there was a post on another thread from a current ALJ that font sizes can be adjusted on the test computers. If that is true, I wouldn't need any accommodation. Would love to hear soon since I am traveling from the west coast.

HM...I have my interview on Friday the 13th....and I have to fly into DC on 9/11...funky not feel so much like world in funky's corner. HI Funky! I have the same dates as you. I thought I saw a thread in which you said you worked for ODAR. I used to work for ODAR. I wonder if this is the reason we are scheduled on the same dates/times. Also, I saw your theory that OPM grouped us by last names. My last name begins with an A. What does yours begin with? Hey True. Happy to have someone else facing the bad karma days, lol. My trheory it was last name related with scheduling has been shot down (and you further kill it with your last name starting with "A", mine is in the middle of the alphabet). As to an ODAR connection, i doubt that as well. Sratty and others that are current Odarians have earlier and later dates than we who will brave SIs on Friday the 13th. Where are you staying? Maybe we can grab a beer after the WD/LBMT Marathon of Madness.

My guess is that they put in the dates when there would be conflicts (ALJ examiners who could know the applicant) and then randomly selected everybody around conflicts. Anything other than a random process is more likely to be subject to challenge.

I could see the smaller type, but I knew it would be easier for me if I could make it bigger, and the proctor said that was fine. On a laptop, 12 point doesn't look like 12 point.

I am sure the conflicts check was also done for any other attorneys on the panels.

Hi all. Am just following up in this thread b/c for whatever reason, my original comments from Friday the 19th were moved from the original Phase 3 thread to this one. Thought that the information would be helpful for anyone over here who is still waiting to hear about Phase 3...I was one of those that, as of Friday the 19th, was still hanging out in left field w/no news on whether I'd made it to Phase 3, but for the fact that Application Manager status said "See Details Tab," which appears to almost universally mean that you did not make it to the next level in the hiring process. Well finally, after 3 emails (in the same service ticket thread) to the help desk (@aljapplication@opm.gov, as listed in the original announcement), and after sending two more emails on Friday starting a new service ticket thread and begging for an answer as testing information had just gone out, I heard back yesterday. FYI, the answer came from a NEW email address: helpdesk@usajobsassess.gov ("OPM Help Desk"). This is interesting, b/c I had already emailed the USAJOBS help desk for assistance (at a different address), and they told me that they could not help, and that I had to contact OPM at the email address from the job posting...Anyway, the answer is in fact NO, and I received absolutely no explanation for why I did not receive an earlier email. (All prior emails were received without a problem.) Just wanted to throw this out there. For what it's worth, I have 17 years of experience - some private, and fed gov for the last 12 - and am currently w/SSA in ODAR. Best of luck to everyone next time, and best of luck to all of the folks heading on to P3.

Best of luck to everyone next time, and best of luck to all of the folks heading on to P3. Thank you for the wish of luck. I don't believe experience whether with the Federal government, SSA/ODAR or private practice determined whether you made it to Phase 3. It came down to how well you did on the SJT with some additional points for the writing sample and the litigation experience questions. However, it was not necessarily what you scored yourself, but how you wrote your answer and how well it was worded to fit the parameters of the question or the experience. Some applicants made it grading themselves a 1 and others a 5 with some in-between the two extremes. I am sorry you didn't make it and think an appeal wouldn't hurt you. If not lucky with the appeal I wish you well next time the register opens. Remember the key is to use the "buzz words" used by OPM when describing your experience or writing your sample writing. It's not about the quantity, but the quality which matches OPM's expectations. Support your position well. The SJT didn't require a lot of thinking, as best not to over-think the answer, but better to go with your gut response. Yes, I think previous litigation people did indeed have it slightly easier in answering the SJT. Best of luck to you furious!

What was the date of the earliest WD/LBMT and SI? Was it the week starting August 5, 2013 or this week starting July 29, 2013? Just curious. I remember someone saying the last WD/LBMT and SI was the week of September 30, 2013. Just curious.

MPD, Earliest date I saw was 8/6, mine starts 8/7. Thanks exjag, I appreciate the information. Good luck next week with your WD/LBMT and SI exjag. Mine isn't starting until September 9th. In some ways, I would rather get it done earlier than wait to later. I am sort of in the middle to latter part of testing and I wish it was a little earlier.

While I happy to get it over with early, I feel like I have been in full "cram" mode.
