I just wanted to wish all of the candidates who are proceeding with Round 3 testing and interviews starting Monday the best of luck. Since this process is new, you are the front line guinea pigs so to speak. All I ask is that you at least let the rest of us know whether or not we can bring bottled water or if OPM will supply water for us during day 1. Water was a hot topic of conversation this week at my office for all of the new graduates taking the bar exam. I hope that water supply or bathroom breaks does not become the next negative thread on this board. Good luck and please don't break a leg walking around on DC's uneven sidewalks. And for those of you starting the appeal process, best wishes to you as well. I feel lucky to be part of phase 3 and know that some really wonderful attorneys were left out of a process that does not appear to have any logical rhyme or reason to many of us.

In recent years water was allowed into the written test, but it had to sit under your desk along with any other personal items. I bought a bottle at their snack bar right in the lobby. I also had coffee and a muffin before we went in. I went to answer the call of nature during the exam. They told us the timed portion is what it is, so if you need to whiz 3 times it just eats up your time. The pre-exam coffee may not be the best choice for some folks.
Best wishes to all of you from someone you may meet at a future AALJ conference if you join our cadre at ODAR. I rarely have time to drop by and post in recent years. I have a better understanding for why many of our retired brethren were so cranky by the time they headed for the door.
