It appears the updated transfer list on the AALJ's website (dated 8/19/13) is not accurate. This was posted on the AALJ's website Member Forum on 9/24/2013:
--------ALJ Peter Martinelli, who handles the transfer register for the AALJ, needs specific information from us about problems with the transfer register, including names, present locations, requested locations and dates of requests. I just sent him the information about the ALJ I am aware of who accepted a position at the NHC before the date of the so-called updated transfer list, and [his/her] name still appears on the list dated 8/19/2013 (on 3 locations). He said that a general audit appears necessary, and that's why this information from us is to[o] important. To all of those who have posted about the problems you are aware of, please send him an e-mail with that specific information at Peter.Martinelli@ssa.gov.------------------------
If you know of anyone who may have declined a transfer, accepted a reassignment to another location, or was appointed at any NHC and his/her name is still on the transfer list dated 8/19/13, you should contact ALJ Martinelli.

I see 107 views so far, but no replies, and some of us in the current transfer register and waiting for a transfer would like to know - without the specifics to be given to ALJ Martinelli - if any of you are aware of any of such problems. This is important because there's the possibility of a grievance by the Union on our behalf. As another ALJ posted on the AALJ's website:
---------It appears some ALJs requesting reassignment were added to the 8/19/13 list, some requesting reassignement were not added, and some who accepted reassignments were not removed.
I requested reassignment on 7/31/13 and am not on the new 8/19/13 list, though I subsequently received a letter from the OCALJ's office stating that they've received my reassignment request, and it's been added to the list and dated 7/31/13.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree with sratty that many of those viewing this thread are in the OPM process of applying for the position. I am not so sure that many ALJs bother to view this Board any longer or if they do that they are even on the transfer list. The number of those ALJs viewing this thread and on the transfer list, in my opinion, would be rather small. However, I can clearly see how having incomplete information or outdated information regarding the transfer list would be very troublesome for those trying to transfer.
