Thoughts on timeline when we might hear back on our NOR appeals, I know it is a long shot, but I have not heard back, and was just wondering when if ever we might, does anyone know of someone who was moved on after an appeal?

It's a brand new testing process and appeals, so your guess is as good as anyone else's guess. I have not heard of any appeal decisions yet, so unfortunately it is just going to be more time waiting for an answer on your appeal. Good luck!

Have not heard back on merits. Had heard nothing until last week's an email acknowledgement of my appeal that included "The ALJ Appeals Panel (Panel) will be convened after the appeal submission deadline ..."

I received an email late today informing me that OPM could not give me the scoring info I requested. The email was so ambiguous and I have no idea whether this is the final determination of my appeal. I sent a reply asking for clarification. Has anyone else received anything from OPM in response to their appeal? Ugh. This process is so frustrating...

I requested "the kitchen sink" including what the minimum score was, how it was determined, and what my score was. I don't know how we were supposed to formulate an appeal without knowing what to appeal. Hell, I may agree with OPM that my score wasn't high enough if I could see how my test and interview were scored. Give me the info and make me sign another confidentiality agreement so everything stays a BIG SECRET and I don't tell anyone what I found out. Or, hell, let me review my file/test in a closed (and guarded room if it makes them feel better) and tie my hands behind my back so I don't take any notes or make copies/take pictures. I apologize for my sarcasm. I don't like OPM's process at all, and I know I am not alone. I received an email late today informing me that OPM could not give me the scoring info I requested. I went with the "best guess" method -- argued everything I could think of that could have been the basis for their decision to sideline me. It is clearly a shot in the dark . . . But appeals ARE sometimes granted.

I think the process was badly flawed and, hopefully, just one of my 14 points in my appeal will be enough. At this point, I see no possibility (age, mostly) of ever attaining my goal but the appeal is worth the time. I do wish each and every one of the commenters on this blog who have interviews the very best of luck! Though I am partial to funkyodar, you are all awesome people!
