Me too. It's really cruel to have to go back to the spam folder and see all of those emails inviting me to enlarge various body parts so that I can meet beautiful, lonely singles who can't wait to date a potential judge. Try to see the glass as half full - you could just be getting offers from Delhi ..." Hang in there, Gram Pop!

OT again to the sabre topic, FWIW. In the sport of fencing, it's spelled sabre. In the names of tigers it's saber.

Gotta provide some entertainment for the peeps (well, myself) while we await important news. No claws? All the more reason to resort to other weapons.

Has anyone heard anything about interviewers being asked to schedule a trip to DC?

Not since Funky told us about the unused first round interviewers being asked to hold November open.

As I will be out of the country the first week of November I can confidently assure everyone that interviews will be scheduled for that week.
Sigh.

Perhaps I am missing something here. If you were in the first group of eligibles and interviewed earlier this year by ODAR, you will not be called in for a second interview when any subsequent hiring is done by ODAR. Those who participated in the first round completed their active participation in the hiring process. As has been discussed ad nauseum in other posts, at this point, a member of the first round has one of two fates: ODAR can continue to consider the candidate for an ALJ position on subsequent certificates for his GAL, or ODAR can advise OPM that the candidate was given consideration for 3 positions and ask that his name be omitted from the subsequently requested certificates. The only exception to this could be the veteran who goes through the testing process again and gets a new score from OPM.

Yes, red - we're speaking of interviews for those of us who weren't on the 1st certs for one reason or another and are anticipating that we may be on the second round of certs.

Out of curiosity, if you're trying to avoid a three strike, can you just limit your GAL to two cities? Not a factor for me; just an amusing idea...

No. If SSA hired for three positions in those two cities you could still be three struck if your NOR put you in the top three for each of the three positions. And those three positions do not need to be on a single set of certs--you could pick up two considerations on the first set of certs and a third consideration on the second set of certs and SSA would not have to consider you for subsequent positions at SSA's option.

Small correction to an otherwise excellent post: if you're thinking about a re-test with OPM you have to be a ten point vet as has been well discussed on these pages.
