Gaidin... what can I say.... doh... and thank you for dragging my comment from the incorrect conversation and showing me the light.... it's never felt better to be on a sinking ship with so many others deserving a seat on the only lifeboat : ) Your ship is sinking only if you believe it is. I have met Judges who have waited ten or more years during the Azdell litigation. For more recent history read hilltopper or philliesfan. The ALJ hiring process has changed dramatically of late and those who have made it to the SSA Interview are in the best shape, mathematically, of any past crop on the Register. The camraderie and support that this Board engenders is fed by optimism and hope. While we have all felt we were on a "sinking ship", maybe its better to focus on the ship moving forward rather than a perceived listing.. Gaidin, how do you post a YouTube video? I completely agree. I only meant sinking ship in that instant when we all got the "I sank your ship email", and that there is no way to be feeling that gust blowing against your sails as each of us opened that email, and that on the contrary, we probably all shared a sinking feeling for at least a second. But yes! I was mightily buoyed by Gaidin's resource/helpfulness, which is a great example of that camaraderie you mention. Though, not that "land ahoy" level, but at least, "got enough food for another week, captain." : )

I always just copy the url and then paste it into my post. There is an icon in the toolbar for comments (when you get to the second screen with emojis, etc.) that looks like the movie scene board that allows you to add a link but I've never used it.

Speaking of sinking ships: Anyone remember the "cabin boy" case from law school?

Speaking of sinking ships: Anyone remember the "cabin boy" case from law school? Considering the question's source, I'm guessing that's the case where the lad lived on in the crew mates he nourished.

Speaking of sinking ships: Anyone remember the "cabin boy" case from law school? I'm not recalling the case, but I do remember seeing the movie "Cabin Boy" when I was in law school (dating myself, I know). It was quite literally the worst movie I've ever seen, and my wife still holds it against me that I made her see it. Started and, thankfully, ended Chris Elliot's movie career.
