You're going to ask yourself which answer Gary would give on the LBMT? You do know it's a logic test, don't you?

Pumpkin is now officially vying for my "favorite not yet hired board member."

Christina and Roggenbier - I am also watching emails, and checking spam. Still no news for the late comers. Glad we have this place to alert us if we miss something.

I'm also waiting. I too think they will likely come this week. I'm thinking they will want to get them scheduled before the end of the fiscal year, but it's just a guess.

I'm getting ready to head to D.C. next week for Round 3. I'm going to wear five layers of clothing to the WD and LBMT to guard against the chill. But for the SI I'm going to wear a non-wool pantsuit. I have a hotel room booked which is a short cab ride to the OPM building and very proximate to the SI site. First order of business after checking in to the hotel is to ascertain the location of the hotel gym and the hotel bar, where I will be on the lookout for anyone who looks uncannily like their avatar on this site. I will bring my photo ID and a printed copy of my "admission ticket" e-mails to each testing session. I will bring a PB&J sandwich and a bottle of water to the OPM building and will place it on the floor. I've signed up at my local ODAR office as a candystriper/volunteer to write 50 decisions this weekend to prep for the WD. The LBMT will be a breeze because, for each question I will simply ponder, "which answer would Tiger, Funky, Gary, Sea, Mama, Liz, JudgeRatty, and Gaidin choose?" To prepare for the SI questions posed to gauge my judgie-ness, I'm planning to watch all those episodes of Judge Judy that I have on DVR. If I become anxious during testing, worried that it is / is not / is as difficult as the bar exam, I will meditate on the mantra that this isn't as hard as working in a European brothel and when it's all over I can go to Tupelo and drink beer off of whatever shelf I please. When all is said and done I will immediately come back to the Boards to respond to the poll (if Mrs. G has not banned board posting from the dinner table next week) on whether I was able to correctly recite the Greek alphabet, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, ODAR, while simultaneously singing the ALJ Fealty Song, assuming such participation does not violate the NDA. Seriously though...since the next week will be a little more hectic than usual, I just wanted to take the opportunity now to say "Thank You" to our Forum Legends - I appreciate your wisdom, humor, and counsel on these boards - you guys rock. Big thanks to Pixie and ALJD for keeping everything on the up-and-up. Hopefully someday I will have the privilege of becoming an ALJ colleague and have the opportunity to thank each of you in person. Until that time, I hope you will accept my post of gratitude. Peace. Now that folks is how you show this process who is boss. I never found my hotel's gym but I did find the bar. I would also say to take the night between the WD/LBMT and the SI to get a decent meal in our nation's capitol. Don't go crazy at the bar but you aren't confined to your room and you will be better for a nice dinner perhaps with some new colleagues you meet at the testing.

Along the lines of mighty fine dining, Pumpkin can skip the PB&J under her desk and go with the herd to the OPM cafeteria for lunch. A variety of hot and cold food awaits. Not gourmet but decent for a government building.

Might I recommend making a lunch reservation at a restaurant some distance from the Teddy Roosevelt Building? Good food; time away from the site; and the uncertainty of whether you'll get back in time. All these should sharpen your wits for what's to come.

Wow. This board has been great. I'm waiting for my email allowing me to self-schedule my SI and LBMT. I'm an outsider, no vet credit, did the phase one in 2013 and then decided not to phase 2. I was surprised when I got the email with the ALJ Applicant survey in May asking if I wanted to complete Phase 2. Of course, this time I did and now this ride just got a little bit more real.
