Did anyone catch today's New York Times article (p. A-11) about the HUD agency Secretary? It looks like a scandal is about to erupt.

So, did anyone get an offer? We know some on this board got offers, but they ain't sayin'. Given the current state of being at HUD, it is probably not a surprise that those who got offers did not accept them, taking instead their offers from SSA. Probably a good thing, too. But if anyone knows of anyone who is going to HUD (on or off the Boards,) please let us know. While curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought him back!!  |

Whoa.
It is possible that HUD just got another Cert - I'm not entirely clear, however, anyone who is contemplating accepting an offer from them might want to send me a PM.

So, is there anyone on this Board who has a high score; did not receive a nod from SSA; wants to be in D.C.; and might be tapped for this possibly new Cert for HUD? Does this tidbit of information from JH suggest that HUD is moving quickly to get a Cert before SSA, like in the last round of hiring?

Another front page article in the New York Times today about HUD's Secretary Alphonso Jackson's "alleged" misdeeds. Maybe its time to clean house. (Pun intended)

Anybody know who HUD hired ? My reliable sources have confirmed that although several offers have been made, no one has accepted the position. Word has hit the streets. Maybe things would be different with a new agency secretary. |

I am reviving this old thread because my sources tell me that HUD is requesting a third cert. from OPM this week. (Apparently the EPA, whose judges were on loan, is not renewing its contract to cover the discrimination cases.) "DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!" One of the interviewing ALJs got burned on the last cert and was threatened with removal from the OPM register without justification.
