Just when I thought that all I had to do was wait patiently(?) for the ODAR offers to commence I received a call for a HUD telephone interview , apparently for a DC position. Go figure.

I think most of us can say, with heart-felt honesty, that we are really rooting for as many board members as possible to be hired by HUD as quickly as possible.

Keep your eyes and ears open. That agency has lost five judges in three years. There could be a reason for the attrition. It might be wise to ask around.

Do you know that HUD hired anyone at this point? I do not. I know that they interviewed a first "wave" in December and then began again in February. And I believe they took a second certificate from OPM at some point. Of course we know a couple of people on the boards who interviewed with HUD and then, ultimately, took a position with SSA. So I just wondered if anyone knew more than that.

Cann't say I know alot more. I was interviewed on 2/27 and my references were ultimately contacted on 3/6. One of my references was told that they wanted to make a decision "quickly." Have heard nothing since. Bradley

You dodged a bullet without realizing it, Bradley. Count your blessings. I saw too many good ALJs leave that office in the last few years. Forewarned is forearmed.
