Had a second-round interview this week. I was told it would be about three weeks or so before - if I hadn’t heard anything further - I could assume it was a “not at this time.”

I was told it would be about three weeks or so before - if I hadn’t heard anything further - I could assume it was a “not at this time.” If you don’t get a TO, you’ll likely see those who did post here, so that should give you an idea as to when they go out. Also, your first interview is good for a year for the next go-around, so you get to skip the line. That’s if they even require a reapplication, because sometimes, they don’t. All moot if you find yourself with an offer, of course, so think happy thoughts and try to relax for the next couple of weeks. Good luck.

Has anyone had their references checked? Or received a tentative offer?

There’s a whole new dimension to IJ positions now, isn’t there?

Is Trump likely to increase hiring of IJs?

I’m curious about how the incoming administration might affect hiring. How likely are candidates to accept their offers, and is there an expectation that many sitting judges may choose to resign?

From a member:
"Hey, Pixie. Would you mind adding an anonymous reply to the IJ thread … I hear they have started calling references for some of the folks who had second interviews. I don’t know how they are prioritizing calls, or what the process is, but know some references have been contacted.
Thanks"

Has anyone received an offer for the ACIJ position from the April posting yet? If not, have references been contacted?

From a board member:
Could you please post this anonymously? I believe IJ offers are going out (or have gone out) because - no joke here - EOIR sent me someone else’s offer. The email from HR referenced a voicemail (that I never received or left) accepting a position in Otay Mesa (a location I did not select). I replied immediately to alert them to what I assume was a mistake but it was close to the end of the day East Coast time and I’ve not gotten a response yet. I assume this is from the September posting but have no way to know for sure.

Did all the offers go out last week for IJ? Safe to say if y’all didn’t get an offer at this point they didn’t select y’all this time?

My understanding is that there were very, very few open positions (despite the announcement listing almost, if not all, courts) because of significant budget constraints.
