I can confirm that those of us in the trash bin of ODAR consideration (from which I suppose it is still possible desperation may cause a hire) are still potentially receiving certs, as I have received one. I will advise that they are again asking for an updated resume of all respondents, even if you recently sent one. I believe previous threads capture the collective knowledge on this subject, if needed. My e-mail came from Bob just after noon Central time and includes 28 of the usual suspects.

I received my cert e-mail - three cities (which I dutifully reported to Gaidin via PM and which I see are already included on the list posted by our information superhero, G). I guess they are, indeed, including those of us with shiny new NORs this round.

Just got mine from Bob at 2:09 pm. One city from my very narrow GAL. Good luck everyone!

First off, congrats to everyone who has received an email/ticket to the dance! Second, thank you for getting Gaidin the cities, we were BOTH going to explode! Third, 61 cities is not the largest list of cities-there were 62 in April and 74 this past July. Finally, the best part about seeing which cities have a cert this go-around is that since none of my cities are on this list I can stop holding my breath and looking for an email every 5 minutes. So, I will join the cheerleading squad for this round and continue to data-mine this process so keep those posts pithy folks.

1 last thing I wanted to confirm this language was on the GAL list. It is definitely different than previous lists. Select your GALs wisely. If you reject a city now its gone forever. If you reject an offer later then very possibly the job is gone forever. * If you accept a position as an ALJ with SSA, you will be required to remain in the location for which you were selected for 15 months before you may request a reassignment. Do you think this means that the rejected city/cities would still be available if you were fortunate enough to be hired, stayed at least the requisite 15 months in your hiring location, but then later wanted to put your name on the transfer list for one of those rejected cities? Pumpkin, don't confuse apples with kumquats. Totally different sets of agendas and purposes for each process, I wouldn't worry. Just keep fingers crossed more new NOR folks like you make this cert list.

Received my email. One city out of my very limited 6 city GAL. Happy just to have made it this far. I am in the Aug/Sept group, an outsider and no vet preference. How long should we expect to wait before interviews are scheduled? Obviously pretty soon but might they call folks before paperwork is complete and submitted? Thanks folks, all of you have made this process much less stressful than it might have been. Good luck!!!

Of the certed cities that were on my GAL, I made the cert for all of them. Despite an unremarkable NOR. From this, I conclude that everyone who indicated a preference for a certed city made the cert, i.e., there was no NOR cutoff. Unlike the first cert back in early 2014. Anyone disagree?

While I wish all of the best to those who are competing, my deepest wish is for Mr. Gaiden to secure the coveted ALJ position above all. My opinion is that he has been an outstanding board member, who has gone above and beyond anybody else in helping all of us. While he has not yet been picked up, he has continued to be positive and pleasant. I would take the point for you Gaidn so you could climb the hill. Rakkasan!
