I know of three ODAR attorneys who made the register but not the certificate.

I agree with Propmaster that the number 50 seems a little shaky. Now, I ain't no math wizard, but I did some ciphering using the fingers on both hands and I came up with about a dozen ODAR attys I personally know who are on the cert. Stands to reason that there are plenty more on that list. I'm not sure exactly how they picked the number 50, but I wouldn't give it another thought. Nothing to do now but wait for the phone to ring. Best of luck to you all.

An ALJ friend of mine confirms that the calls are going out today. It amazes me that "we" have none to report yet...

( that or they just haven't tried to call me)

I have a vision of a number of hard-working people sitting by their phones with lists of people to call--all waiting for one final signature so that they are authorized to make job offers. I am a SSA outsider, but that is certainly the way that state government works.

I swear that I keep catching myself humming the old Randy Travis song someone mentioned on the board long ago:
Since my phone still ain't ringing, I assume it still ain't you.
Hey, at least my metabolic rate is up due to the tension, although the negative effects of the stress will surely outweigh that small benefit...

My fish sandwich is sitting on the window sill, warming in the morning sun, as I wonder if the phone will ring.
Shut inside these four walls; Sent inside forever; Never seeing no one nice again, Like you...

Actually, when you think about it, "NOW" is kind of a relative term. However, I've thought long and hard about this, and I think I can safely say, with some room for error, of course, that I have GOOD NEWS for all of us! Assuming that the original news of the 1st class starting in mid-April, and a 2 week mentoring preceding that, I can't see how the offers can come ANY LATER than the end of March....so, since it is almost March now...the offers will HAVE to begin not more than a little over a month if they reasonably expect to have people report for April mentoring. Just thought I'd inject a little good news/optimism into an othwerwise tense environment...take care, all.

Does seem peculiar nobody here has reported a call - we have some heavy hitters on this board [not referring to myself....I'm just heavy] It is not unheard of for the agency to use home telephones to make an offer. Happened to me, with short time to respond. That was about 6 years ago, so I cannot say that is how contact will be made now.

Civil serpent - You are evil! ;D Now I'm not only glued to my seat at work, watching the caller ID, but I have to figure out how often is too often to call and check my home voicemail.

The phone call to schedule the interview came to my home phone, during the work day. Luckily, it was a day I work home. I would assume that they would use the same number they used to set up the interview. But that's JMO.

For the conspiracy theorists out there: Do ya think they got our ISP's from this board and instantly eliminated all of us that they could identify? Actually, I'm just kidding, but its been one of those days.

Deep breaths, comrades; deep breaths. We are only talking about hours and days here. The offers are set. They WILL go out. No amount of angst will make the phone ring. You are the little engines that could.... You can make it past this.... You can get to the top of Offer Hill.

"We are only talking hours and days here" A little vague for me - so if not now, when?

"We are only talking hours and days here" A little vague for me - so if not now, when? The point is that: It. Doesn't. Matter. We can't affect it. However many hours; however many days - it will be what it is. "If not you then who? If not now, then when?" (Phillip Vera Cruz ) Relating to the action that one can take themselves - not when an action will be done to them..... I'm just hoping we can take the anxiety down a notch or two.....
