Thank you so much. Congratulations to all who have gotten the call so far and all of those who will. I still cannot believe I got the call. I almost didn't apply for this register. I applied on the last day, three hours left till close. I was just so disappointed about what happened when I was on the previous register, I didn't know if I wanted to get on this roller coaster again. I'm so happy that I did. I hope that I can inspire everyone to just keep on swimming. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

Congratulations to the new Judges. May your tenure with ODAR be long and fruitful. RAM's story is also great news for those not yet selected. Nothing like motivation in the face of adversity.

I suspect that we may get a vote or two more over night as people get home and get on here. But as it sits now:
8 votes in the NOR poll
2 x Brooklyn, NY~ Hattiesburg, MS Orland Park, IL* Ponce, PR* Richmond, VA* San Juan, PR* Seven Fields, PA Syracuse, NY Valporaiso, IN*
* means the vote has been confirmed ~ means one vote has been confirmed
Congratulations new judges!
I will be updating this as the evening goes on.

How do we know who has gone where if they are NOT members of the board?

How do we know who has gone where if they are NOT members of the board? We don't. After all the hiring is done there is typically a list of all the new judges sent out to the new judges and one of them will often let us know the final numbers for each location. With the last few hires we have gotten very close (~90%) to full participation in the hiring polls. Obviously that isn't 100% and so some just slip through the cracks.

How do we know who has gone where if they are NOT members of the board? 1. Some of them are lurkers and know members of the Board, through whom (if they wish) they pass along the good news. 2. Others even if not lurkers are known by members of this Board and the members let us know. 3. Some we don't find out about right away, though it's surprising how few are totally missed here. 4. Sometimes after the hiring is all done we'll find out where the hires were and how many for each location. If we get this information it is the most accurate but least timely.

I hope they don't mind if I wear a cape instead of a robe. Got the call this morning, but have been too busy to check in here. Congrats to my fellow newbies, and best wishes to those yet to be called.
