With calls ending on the current outstanding cert, does this thread need to be closed so "Got the Call" will not pop up again until a new thread is started after a new cert is issued? This would be helpful for those of us who are patiently waiting for a new cert. Of all the different titles for threads, this is probably one of the most important. I hope the next time I see this thread pop up is to announce a new ALJ who rightly should be offered congratulations, and which offers hope that those of us still on the register may get an offer.

Good idea, Jessejames, but let's hold off for a few more days. We just had a new member with an offer reporting today, and there might be some coming in at the first of next week. Also we are in communication with this member in this thread. Please remind me on Tuesday, perhaps by PM?, and I will close it. Pixie.

Per a well respected source, there have been a total of 97 hires, approximately half for the June start date and half for the July start date. Durn close to the hoped-for 107 hires. We had word if 7 rejections as well. So really close.

Good luck to all the new judges starting tomorrow. Just remember, according to government onboarding rules, you actually started being a judge today!
And for all the new NODAR judges, just remember that RFC stands for "really friendly claimamt," and you'll do great!!
(Even if you dont understand why that's funny now, by day two of training this will be hysterical!)

I'm new to this process and had the interview in May. I have not received a call. For those who did not get the call, does that mean you may never be considered again, you may be considered later, etc.?
If you may be considered later, do you have to reinterview and update GALs again?
Forgive me if I'm asking questions that have already been answered elsewhere in the forum. Thanks for any input!

Welcome! I assume you are referring to an interview with Social Security in Falls Church. If so: 1. You will be on future certs within your GAL so long as your score places you within reach. 2. Being considered in this process is a term of art. You may or may not have been considered yet. 3. You only interview with SSA once per register. After that, you can be on cert after cert without another interview. 4. People who have been on several sets of certs have been hired. You are still in the game. 5. Next hiring class will start in September. Good luck!

Also, Mylo, at some point you'll probably get a letter informing you that you haven't been hired this round ("FOAD letter"). DON'T be alarmed; it's actually a good sign. It means another round of hiring will probably begin soon.

A few months back someone (Gaidin I believe) posted the list of how many times a city was certed off the 2013 list and and the amount of actual hires for each city resulting from said certs. I ve put in a few searches but unsure how to really pull it up. If anyone has the thread i d much appreciate it- thx in advance, eb Here's the link to the list, again. I had posted the link back in April, 2016, so it does include the most recent cert cities.
How many times did my city appear on a Certificate?
Have fun while we wait for the next set of certs in July!!

I am going to go ahead and close this thread as it seems to have outlived it's usefulness. If someone needs to post an acceptance, PM me and I will reopen it. Pixie
