What color are the TPS report forms? Does the computer auto-logging out affect our WENUS? Trust me, although there is quite of bit of paperwork, (electronic and real) none of it is TPS And, both of your WENUS will survive quite nicely I find the discussion of the computer logging itself off to be interesting. As an "insider" I do not have the issue of my computer shutting down quickly (after 5 or 10 minutes), it stays "active" for quite some time.

So does this mean you are not allowed to work late? Papa's office may be different, but judges have had no problem working off the clock in the three offices I've been in. Signing in/out on the computer is no different than signing in/out on paper unless you're the type of person that likes to sign in and then chat around the office for 30-45 minutes before turning the computer on. Signing in and out is 1000 times better and more convenient than billing tenths of an hour all day every day, IMO. Right now if you don't move your mouse for 15 minutes your computer locks up, but then you can just unlock it. I'm not sure if 10 minutes is a change or papa was just mentioning this aspect of the job. i thought you guys were allowed to work off the clock via the union agreement???

What color are the TPS report forms? Does the computer auto-logging out affect our WENUS? tps presumably electronic now even for initial sign up maybe they still send you paper for a new hire.. Yellow if paper??? Been years since ive seen a paper tps form... i think its triplicate and yellow is one of the more important color pieces, as in the one copy that goes to tps, but is has to be electronic now even for new folks. TPS would probably say some "ahem" acronyms if SSA sent them a paper form these days. what is a WENU?

And I too also missed the correct WENUS reference, obviously as a direct result of having read too many medical records. Thanks for the Saturday morning laughs

A bit of a shift in topic - I'm moving in six days and haven't been contacted by the designated contractor about temporary quarters. I have a question and I hope someone can help!
Will the government reimburse me for the hotel taxes at all? Must it go into the lodging total? Or, can it go into M&I? I'm doing the traditional itemized TQSE. Any info greatly appreciated! I need to decide where to stay really soon....

Ask hotel to waive taxes. They generally do since it's official govt business

Because it's not TDY travel, I think the rules are different. I don't have an SSA charge card and my research implies the taxes won't be waived. I could be wrong. This will determine where I stay... Again, thanks for the feedback :-)

I didn't think too many people would get the office space reference. One of my all-time favorite movies. I will be happy anywhere as long as they don't take away my red stapler.

I don't recall dealing with a WENUS at SSA nor a TPS report, however I would like to note than this past week there were some notable changes to the HLDS in eBB under the CPMS that really have me excited. E.G.. in lieu of just SGA, that now has been changed in SGA after AOD, the same goes for severity! And note there is a delineation of expansion of the Listings! And then there is a completely new section addressing scenarios of DAA, CP/RCP, LO,and LO-CAC with a SMVP to boot!!!! And...I hear tell rumors of a eBB TXVI child in the works! Oh these are exciting times upcoming for current and new ALJs HODs and the newly created HOCAs and LCTs!!!!!!!! (Now if we could only get the DDS or DOs to do the DEQY/SEQY SGA analysis as to applicable PRW or not, prior to HRG so that we ALJs do not have to run WHAT that would be great!)

Just be sure to keep all the puppies away from the ALPO pile.

There is never any reason for the judge to put anything in the ALPO stack. Never. We get paid to make decisions, not put them off. Pixie
