Hi all! Just peeking out of the woodwork to introduce myself to the group I'll be going through this process with. Best of luck to everyone!
Now, can someone explain why in application manager...(sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Got mine at 4:17 PST! Does anyone have any idea what percentage of applicants moved on to round 2? I really don't think you want to go there. You can read the information on how this stage of the process works from other threads and outside information, but my understanding that this is not a challenging task. Remember your Yoda: "Do or do not, there is no try." Then forget about it and move onto something else. As many has said before, this is a marathon and you cannot judge how you are doing after the first mile.

It actually made me smile. I wish more of the newbies had figured it out. Welcome to the Board, subrosa. Pixie.

So, does anyone know how late they might send out email? All night? I think I will go chew on some kudzu. OK, that is funny. I can tell you aren't from the deep South as there is so much kudzu down there, the dogs no longer chew on it. They prefer privet. But it does make a good nest. You are wise to curl up in it. I think the emails may be finished for the night. Pixie.

Any changes in Application Manager for those invited to move on? Also, please advise if anyone gets a rejection. I received the email a little less than three hours ago (6:15pm PT) inviting me to the online component. One round down, several more to go... Good luck to all!

6:21pm pacific time. Whew. This little bird is chirping with joy. As I might've mentioned on some other unnamed thread, this is the second go around, having gotten all the way to DC in 2013. That was the dress rehearsal, and this is the real thing. Good luck to all of us.

I got my invite to round two, which was particularly sweet after losing my appeal from the same point in the last round. I had not put start and end months in for every description of my experience, so my 25 years of litigation could not be presumed to cover 7 years of litigation experience. (I know- it's partly a test to see if you can follow directions. I'm no longer bitter.)
The Invite came about ten hours ago. Good luck to everyone- I hope to join you on a huge roster of high scores and fill a lot of vacancies.

My email arrived last night as well. I have to admit, there's a bit of dread mixed in with the excitement of moving on. Been down this long road once before only to be shown the door after the DC phase. But that's okay. Some paths in life are crooked and that is how it should be To say that I was STOKED to see Gaidin, Tiger and others who've been waiting for the call finally get the call, has made my day!!!

Received the email last night. Happy to make it through (I was barred in 2008, and wasn't quite sure how OPM would credit supervisory experience). On to the next step...

I've come to accept that I must be a closet masochist by going through this process again after getting dumped by OPM after the WD. I too got the invite for the online component last night and did not know it until this morning. But, having been through this process once before and dealing with all the agonizing over what status changes mean, the interminable waiting and second guessing myself, I went back and reread a favorite book of mine, The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. For those of you who have read it, just remember the slogan on the front of that tome:
"Don't Panic."
When everyone else is getting emails saying they got a status change or an email saying they moved on while you have nothing to report:
"Don't Panic." OPM does pretty much everything in waves with notices and status changes happening sometimes in the wee hours of the morning.
When others move on to the DC round of testing after the online component and there are those of you who get the rejection email stating you were "not in the higher scoring sub-group:
"Don't panic." If you are in not in the higher testing subgroup after online testing, it very well may mean that you will be offered a second chance from OPM sometime down the road to take the DC portion of the test after the 10-pointers and the non-10-point testers who scored high enough for OPM's standards have had their turn. It happened for me and a whole host of others not that long ago (albeit with less than desirable results for me) and some of them are on the Register now. But if you don't make the first cut after the online component:
"Don't panic." All hope is not lost.
Bottom line: settle in, set the cruise control, make your required stops (i.e., the online component and thereafter as it comes) because the ride is long with several stop lights for many who will have to wait sometimes years before moving from one step to the next. But most importantly:
"Don't Panic."
Good luck to all.
