Has anybody who does not work for SSA and is a federal government hire gotten a relocation package? I've tried to contact the guy and I think I'm being ignored. [Or at least on hold.] No. I've gotten the employment package (fingerprint cards, multiple forms) but no relocation package. Of course, I'm in the June/July class. Maybe they're doing the April class first? |

I have recieved my relocation package. I am an SSA employee in the April class.
The package does not contain any information about Baltimore.

Has anyone in the May or June class gotten the relocation email? I got the acceptance package (more forms and fingerprint cards) in the mail but nada from Falls Church on relocation.

I heard yesterday from the contact person noted in our acceptance package that SSA will be emailing the relocation information for the 2nd group (may, june, july) in two weeks.

The comments concerning the relocation package do not apply to me. However, I have reviewed the acceptance package. I have not tackled it yet, and am wondering just how long this will take for me to complete it. Has anyone completed their package yet?

I haven't completed the acceptance forms yet, but my first thought was that the application for this position was just a warm-up! ;D

Relocation package came to me today although I'm not a current fed employee and I don't think I'm relocating. I really didn't read it - as a current non-fed I don't get a relocation benefit do I? I suppose if I read it, I could answer that question myself  BTW, I spoke with Tracey DeLeon re: my SSA travel card application for my travel to Baltimore. She was very nice. |

BTW, use of the government credit card is required for certain expenses, or else those expenses are not reimbursable. I'm not an expert, so I'll defer to the relocation package fine print!
