Who knows? Maybe the shark will make a return. If it does, it might get replaced with this: Sharks are creepy. There is no good reason for them to exist except to eat humans.

Random fact: Mashed potatoes float Bowling balls also float Don't believe it. Too heavy and too dense without a flotation device. At least for the heavy ones. Maybe some light ones that take up more volume than their weight will float. Pixie

Don't know if 12 lb. is a heavy bowling ball or not.
What would happen if I took a tiny 1/64" drill bit and drilled a hole 1/64"deep into a 12 lb. bowling ball; would that affect its ability to float? Pixie

No idea how heavy it was. I was on a double date in high school and my friend had bought a bowling ball at a yard sale for a dollar. I took it out of his car and dropped it into a “wishing well” fountain to be funny. All four of us stared in disbelief as it bobbed around the fountain, it’s blue color sparkling in the light from the fountain, level with the surface of the water.

Pixie A 12lb ball is midrange in terms of what's available (8 lb. through 16lb.). Drilling a hole would have effect, it would still float. A 12 lb ball floats because it is less dense than water, so removing some of the ball does not change that.

I read recently that Sharkorama is returning this month. As the below photo shows, there is no good reason for them to exist other than to eat humans. They are just so creepy.

We need more, and bigger, Ospreys in this world. That is the first video with a shark in it that I have liked.

As apex predators, sharks play an important role in the ecosystem by maintaining the species below them in the food chain and serving as an indicator for ocean health. They help remove the weak and the sick as well as keeping the balance with competitors helping to ensure species diversity.

With all respect, Dshawn de Shark, I have heard all this rationalization before. I'm not buying the propaganda. I can tell you have never sat on a surfboard and watched as one glided by 30' away with an evil glint in his black and dead eyes. And I imagine you have never been scuba diving when one came to investigate what the strange creature with bubbles was doing in his domain. From my perspective their true purpose in life is to eat humans. If they were eliminated from the coastal waters, another predator would rise to take its place. And this predator would not be so deadly to man.

You don’t have to worry much about this shark anymore. I am now landlocked. Still, the sea is their domain. You are a visitor there. Swim at your own risk.
In the immortal words of Quint.
“Cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark. [sings] Farewell and adieu to you, fair Spanish ladies. Farewell and adieu you ladies of Spain.“
