I have typed and deleted numerous responses but nothing that is adequate for the horror you are describing. It's a cliche to say no parent should ever outlive their child, but the thought of it is a nightmare I can't even bear to imagine.

The loss of a child is one you will grieve every day, sometimes even breathing will seem like it is too hard.It will get less awful. Most of your friends and family will want to help and not know how. They will be afraid to mention him until you lead with it. Ask for their assistance even when you don't feel you need it, giving them some way to help even if it is a minor errand will be a good thing.

Know you have prayers coming from all directions and people you've never met because it is that important.
