Thought I'd make this it's own thread just for ease of locating responses!
Here's what I got back from OPM when I requested the status of my appeal:
The ALJ Appeals Panel is meeting to review the appeals of the examination ratings. While the Panel has been working expeditiously, in light of the volume and variety of appeals, OPM cannot provide an exact date by which a specific individual’s appeal will be completed. Once an applicant’s appeal is completed, however, he or she will be notified via email of the Panel’s decision on their appeal.

So, there ya go. At least now we know they're "working expeditiously"!
