I have two questions. First, does anyone know (or know where I can find out) where the Medicare ALJs are located and how many are at each location?
Second, has anyone (else) heard rumors of an impending Medicare ALJ hiring (possibly before the new register)? Insiders especially, of course...

Four locations:
Miami (@15 ALJ's), Irvine (@15 ALJ's), Cleveland (@25 ALJ's including the CALJ) and Arlington (5 ALJ's).

Perhaps you mistook OMHA (Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals) for Omaha? Easily enough done in this new, wacky world of acronyms. I am still trying to pronounce HOCALJ. . .

I bet you're right. That explains the person's strange reaction when I said Omaha was one of my cities. Well, I don't have the others, so I guess Medicare is for others out there. |
