Were any of those folks offered positions during the second week of July directed to report to their assigned hearing office before training on Aug 4?

It is my understanding they will go directly to training. No two weeks in the office first.

My office, which was already expecting 2 new judges (who are reporting to the office on Monday, July 21st, and then going to the Baltimore training on August 4th), was just informed that we're getting 2 more new judges, who will not be reporting to the office first but simply going to the Baltimore training before reporting to the office. We were told that these latest 2 hires were made necessary by Astrue's commitment to Congress to have a certain number of new judges on board on or before September 1st, and by the fact that a number of candidates had recently declined last-minute offers.
Bravo, ODAR management!
