Without getting into the actual issues presented (which appear to be contemplating getting rid of the grid rules), the way the author wrote the piece (which is labeled an opinion) made me want to do the exact opposite of what he suggested.
Having said that, I don't see any possible way this gets done in a way that is defensible before the Biden administration begins.
Could make for an ugly month of January, though. I am envisioning a scenario where in the next couple of weeks we get an email saying that we are no longer using the grid rules effective immediately.
