Yes, stay warm Texas.
As this seldom happens down there, they just aren't equipped to deal with it. Some of them haven't had electricity since the weekend. That means their pipes have frozen, and when it warms up, they will have no water. With a finite number of plumbers available to repair the broken pipes, it will be awhile before water is restored. I would have to move to a hotel. Of course I would have moved to a hotel * when I lost heat, so it would be an extended stay. Pixie

I am sorry for the hardships visiting our friends in Tejas, too. It looks awful. There’s something to be said for gettin’ yer water from the crick out back, and oil lamps, and cookin’ over a cast iron, potbellied stove, and amblin’ down to the outhouse yonder when Nature calls. Sorta like a deployment if you’re in the Army. No plumber required. Technology and creature comforts are great—when they work. Be well, friends!
