I’m off today. So we’re off tomorrow too?

I’m off today. So we’re off tomorrow too? Yes. Some of these people have been waiting a long time for a hearing. Finally got it scheduled, and now canceled the day before. Surely there were alternatives to canceling the hearings? I'm not directly affected as I had no hearings scheduled, but I had a ton of stuff I needed to get done. Now I will have to come in Saturday and get it done. Had other plans that now will be cancelled. Pixie

It's the end of the pay period, too. I am waiting to do my timecard, but it's almost COB.
Not to complain about a new day off-for an honorable commemoration, at that-but it's a three-day weekend in June. It's like a second Memorial Day weekend...I kinda think a little more notice would have been nice (not that I'm not going to enjoy the time sitting around the house tomorrow).

I never really had the consequences of attempting to work (from home) on a holiday explained to me.

People work credit on holiday weekends all the time, just not the holiday. Not sure about the consequences of working on a holiday. I don’t know if our forfeit time can be used on those days or who is going to catch you working unless they are illegally working themselves.

I'm happy to have a day off. Management can worry about the impact of their decision upon the American public. I appreciate their gesture, though.

I put in 2 extra hours today, but I'll still be behind Monday.

We were told can't work Saturday either due to the holiday. Yes, I would like more information about this. I have always been able to work weekends around Monday or Friday holidays.

I was told weekend work was fine, just not today.

I would have liked to have used the day to check for new exhibits for Monday and Tuesday but I woke with a migraine so it worked out I guess
I just cringe over rescheduling hearings which fortunately didn’t happen to me.
