Has anyone tried to get to their resume on this site? I am updating it. In the past two weeks, there has been a change. You put your username and password in and they want you to change your password. When I do, I get a message that my old password is wrong..I've emailed help but not gotten a reply. Any advice? a25

Arlene, thanks for alerting us to the change. I went in and changed my password and had no problem using the new password. I'm sure that as soon as the ALJ opening re-appears, you will see it here immediately.

Tricia, thanks, I think the system was "hung up" while people were changing their password. I was finally able to change my password. A25

Hello, everyone!
I am brand new at this (actually discussing rather than reading!). I did not get my application in on time last time, but am ready (I think/hope) for this time, if nothing changes. I am a senior attorney at ODAR. I am open to any advice anyone can give me.
Thanks to everyone in advance.

odetojoy - find people that have done it (ALJs) and ask them to review your bullet points and miss america's. you could be a great interview, but no one will know unless you effectively communicate your accomplishments in the OPM format.

Before you start having others advise you on your appication, you should remember that the application is part of the test and you certify that you had no assistance in preparing it. While you would probably be able to get away with it (and somebody will argue that if you get it checked before the announcement opens you didn't get help on the test), I hope everybody takes this requirement seriously. After all, you are trying to become a Judge which normally carries with it an aura of honesty.

Thank you, chinook, for your appropriate correction. I really did not mean to be asking for what govtattorney recommended (though his response was well-intentioned, I believe), as last time I did not even get as far as the certification and I did not remember its specifics. I do take this very seriously, and I thank you again for your correction.
