GAO report on SS ALJ productivity

AALJ sent this out to the members the other day. No shocking revelations here, but still interesting, especially the part where it was pointed out that production standards have been adjusted for other OHO staff based on changing circumstances, but not for ALJs. I'd add that an outsized impact is that their production staff also have quotas which are equally inflexible.  This includes legal staff and paralegal staff.

I will further add that there are other reasons for the difference in ALJs meeting their goals that are unrelated to the factors cited in that article.

And I will finally add that I do not have a dog in this horse race so that I can safely crawl back into my bunker in case of regime change.  And bemoan the fact that I have to do so.
