I agree Edit Note: There was no message posted by Snowbird in the post above this one. Only the quote from NY Lawyer was in the "post." Normally I would delete, but NY Lawyer has quoted the non existent post, thus quoting his own post. I will leave it the way it is. Sometimes my mind is just baffled. Remember people, when quoting a post, place the cursor after the "quote" and the "brackets." If you have to explain the joke...

Rumor has it that at least one solicitation of interest e-mail was sent out late this afternoon.

Any WAGs as to whether or not non-conforming offices will be offered in this transfer

Any WAGs as to whether or not non-conforming offices will be offered in this transfer I wouldn’t think so as these offices are supposed to be in need of judges.

Any WAGs as to whether or not non-conforming offices will be offered in this transfer I agreed to accept the ALJ position initially knowing that I would be in non-confirming space. I wouldn’t have cared if they had put me in a broom closet. I realize that the ALJ office requirements are something to be negotiated in the contract. In my mind, it’s at the very bottom of the list of things to be negotiated. Unless we are talking about an office with a private restroom, and requiring that everyone refer to them as my chambers rather than my office. Now that would be worth the fight. 😃 Speaking of restrooms…I would love it if someone could negotiate an employees-only restroom in close proximity to the hearing rooms. That way I wouldn’t have to keep running into claimants and representatives when I dash off to the restroom between hearings. Of course, nothing will ever surpass the restroom access, proximity, and cleanliness I have with our current work situation. 🧼

But apparently TPTB are waiting until an ALJ is assaulted or murdered before it dawns on them that maybe having the ALJs using the same restroom as the claimants isn't the greatest idea.

New poll is up for transfer offers. If anyone prefers to PM me their response I would be glad to post it anonymously on your behalf.

Pixie, I, uh, hate to cavil, but I hope the use of “Uh, like,” supra, was a deliberate employment of superfluousness. Strunk and White would object strenuously as we know, but I applaud an occasional use of vernacular that consciously ignores their strict policies.
Hope you’re doing well! I am traveling domestically and enjoying retired life. Happy Friday! Best, Tony

Have all the transfer offers been made or can we expect more next week?

So two of the cities on my list were in the 20. I got an inquiry for one but not the other. What gives?

Were actual transfer offers extended (as opposed to inquires of interest)?

With the recent abuse of the apostrophe, and no one commenting, I thought I would write it that way and see if anyone even noticed. Thank goodness for small rodents. While paragraphs are a reader's best friend, forming plurals are important as well. In English, an apostrophe should almost never be used to form a plural, including with acronyms and decades. There are rare exceptions to this rule, but for our purposes, there are no exceptions. If we can go 6 months without an abuse of the lowly apostrophe, we can move on to something more complex. Perhaps the semicolon? It is the most under used of all the punctuation marks.
