I know many board members are anxiously awaiting transfers. Was curious as to what most people that have had, or have knowledge of, about the timeline from the time a person receives the inquiry email to the time an offer comes generally.
For instance, I know a recent transfer was 3 weeks from inquiry to offer.

It was a complete shock. City not on list, people ahead of me, shortage of cases in that office. But I was offered a transfer in late January.

When you say city not on list- do you mean a city not on your transfer list? If so, why would they have even known to contact you as possibly being interested?

I believe they are referring to cities that were not on the lists OCALJ sent out. The lists of cities that were in need of judges.

cookie is right. I know from PERSONAL experience that a city not on either of the the two published lists got two transfers. They did apparently follow the individual reassignment preferences list.
