Currently, 40/132 people got emails. That’s a 30.3% rate. My old trusty stats classes from State U tells me that a sample size of 132 and a population of (somewhere near) 1200** leaves us with a margin of error of 8% at a 95% confidence interval. That means between 267 and 460 email recipients, with a median of 364. ** I guessed at the 1200 number. No way to know what the real number of applicants was. The number of people who got emails is much, much lower than these estimates. Then, after 3 or 4 attempts applying for an ALJ position, I can’t believe that I am one of them.😵💫

I can confirm that others have also received calls to schedule interviews the week of July 5. I can also confirm that from the description provided of the interview, the format differs some from past interviews. I was not personally called. This was based on reports from others to me.

Thanks for the info! I received the email, so we’ll see what tomorrow brings. I interviewed back in 2019, so it’ll be interesting to see the format.

No email for me. Outsider. Very limited GAL. 10-point veteran. Totally awesome and would be an outstanding ALJ. Hopeful for the next round.

Is it ok to discuss diversity? Is there any data on the impact of diversity factors? How would they know any diversity factors about applicants at this point?

Have any of you who have gotten the call received the email with the link and confidentiality form? If so, how long after the phone call did that take?

Do you think they are waiting to call until one submits the forms in the initial email? I haven't had time to do that yet (not due until Monday COB). No one has called me yet.

No, I think they’re just calling in random order. I haven’t submitted my forms yet but got a call already. I think there are only two people calling, so it will probably take a couple of days to reach everyone.
