Salary seems off- anyone know why it is so low? I don't know but I suspect it has something to do with the lack of locality pay due to the fully remote position. But that is just an uninformed guess.

Salary seems off- anyone know why it is so low? Looks like the base range without locality, even “rest of United States,” included.

Under conditions of employment, it states “ Locality pay will be determined upon selection.”

Does anyone have any details about the production standards associated with this position? The posting says words to the effect of producing a reasonable amount of dispositions in a timely fashion? I'm curious what that means.

If anyone applied for this, keep us posted on the process. This posting closed and I am just interested in it. I applied and for what its worth I think I may be knocked out on the first step. Typical USAJOB postings simply require proof of an active bar license. This posting went quite a bit further requiring not only proof of an active bar license but also language stating that you were "in good standing." To be clear, I am in good standing but, in my state, the only way to obtain a "good standing letter" is by paying $25 bucks to the state's supreme court and waiting for the clerk to snail mail the letter to you. The problem is that the letter never makes it to you before the closing date of the USAJOBS posting. In this instance, in order to submit my application prior to the closing date, I provided proof of my active license and a screen shot showing that I was compliant with this year's CLEs. While it could be inferred that I was in good standing from what I provided nothing specifically stated those "magic" words which unfortunately was specifically required by the posting. Overall, me getting through the first phase will depend on how hard of a stance the reviewers take on the above. I also presume that I'm in good company as many applicants either didn't see this specific requirement or don't have the ability to prove good standing prior to the closing date. Wish me luck!

From what you have said, there was only the requirement that you state you are in good standing. If you didn't say that, then your application won't pass the first step. You must give them what they ask for. Pixie

They wanted official language, like from the court, stating that you were in good standing. That's why I went into the issues with the good standing letter. Either way, I'm gonna make them say no.

Just went to NLRB website and they announced the hiring of 6 ALJs. All insiders or had worked for NLRB in the past.
