Wow. The number of vacancies at the listed locations are surprising. 62. (I did not see the application limit of 50). But 62 Attorney advisor hires has to be significant. Especially since a number of locations are listing 7+ vacancies.

Hopefully, there are equivalent number of ALJs to go with the attorney positions.

The year is 2123. The SSA component formerly known as OHO has changed names 47 times. No one has run a find/change on attorney advisor job postings to replace ODAR or Offfice of Disability Adjudication and Review with the current name.

I'm looking at all these announcements and I'm also waiting on "the call". But I'm also looking at the debt ceiling drama unfolding in Congress. Could it be the mass hiring wave is a rush to beat the clock and we'll get "the call" or a FOAD (one way or another. At this point I just want closure) before July?
Or could we be facing a same fate as the ghost register of 2019?

Nice to see these do not appear to be term / NTE positions.
Has a timed writing test been a requirement for the attorney advisor position in the past?

Hi, Pixie. Can you please post this under the above-referenced thread?
Management told me DWs are being hired by OHO because DDS cannot hire and 100 OHO DWs will be lat3rally detailed to DDS as adjudicators for the next one to two years.

Our office had two DWs detailed to DDS as adjudicators and our HOD announced last week that we’re allotted 4 new DW positions under a limited time DW announcement.

These all appear to be perm positions. Glad to see the agency is doing that.

I think all those slots are in the Dallas region. Did any other regions get slots?

Operationalj is correct, I saw all of those. They are all perm this time as opposed to temp. A nice plus.

Not all state DDS in Region 6 currently have OHO attorneys serving as adjudicators but attorneys across the region are adjudicating for DDS in the states using OHO attorneys. Expansion to the other states isn’t practical without replacing some writing capacity.

We’ve utilized it in my HO since then.
