The new transfer register has been posted on the AALJ board. I will be happy to post about specific locations, number of persons to and number of persons from.
Post your requests and I will post the replies on this thread. I can, when I return to work, check to see if a location seems to have a large pending caseload; HOWEVER, remember SSA mostly sends judges to offices with vacant ALJ offices or to offices of friends of reginal offices not where the work is backlogged.

I'd like to know how any of the cities in Region 10 look; Seattle, Portland, Eugene, and Spokane. Also, how about New Orleans? Thanks!

Will there be a new certificate before next year? SSA is on a continuing resolution until next president. Probably next March before there is a budget. Probably no certificate until then. This is a best guess only.

ALJ South, is the transfer register issued independent of new ALJ hiring (e.g., is it done once per year or on some regular basis)? Or is the issuance of the transfer register suggestive that a new certificate will be issued in the next few months? Does the one always precede the other, is there anything to read into this?

Or is the issuance of the transfer register suggestive that a new certificate will be issued in the next few months? Does the one always precede the other, is there anything to read into this? It is constantly being updated as judges send in transfer requests. SSA has to notify AALJ periodically and send the list. It is not suggestive of an immediate hire.
