Will we be able to update our list of references, adding to, subtracting from, or at least changing contact information for them? Thank you all.
ps. The ALJ exam wasn't as bad as the overcrowded flights up and back.. As usual, JMHO..

I don't know about revising references or adding new ones, but I was able to update the contact info for ones I selected. I had 2 people whose phone numbers had changed (my HOCALJ became Acting RCALJ in another region) and 1 office address change subsequent to the initial submission. 1 person had died and I offered an additional name for contact, but she was not contacted during the process. I should note that all names were not contacted and it appeared to be the consensus that once a set number of contacts were made the remaining ones were not called.

If your name gets sent over to SSA, then SSA has an additional form where more references are required for their background investigation. SSA's contractor called every person on my list.

How many references were you required to produce? I heard SSA asks for 6 reference! This is not the same as the name of a person who can verify your answers, required on the initial application. I heard they want 6 people who they can contact & who will support you as fit to be a judge..
