The New Transfer List has been issued, and is up to date as of October 5, 2007. It has not yet been posted on the AALJ website. But, per union rep, transfer offers are about to be started. The first transfers will be made to the 75 offices identified as having the greatest need. The remaining transfers will not be made until the Senate approves the appropriation bill, but are expected to be made prior to the hiring of new ALJs.

There was a post on the other list indicating that the agency is going down the transfer list already and is on the second level today, with the third level indicated for later this week. For those of us wannabes, we may get locked out of our locations at this rate. It looks like SSA is honoring its agreement regarding transfers.

There have been several different interpretations of this issue on this board by various judges. Since we seem to be all over the place on terms of posting on threads and not sticking with a thread, it has been a bit hard to follow. ALJ south on another thread said he firmly expected that the agency wouldn't follow its agreement. All I can do is read what is posted. And as far as speculation, there has been so much of that since the board begin, I guess we are all "idle" from your perpective.

what does the new transfer list show about the locations in the New York metro area (the city, Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey).
A question for anyone else awaiting results- when you look at the application status page, does it show you all of your location choices? I had selected all of the offices in and around New York, but it only shows a handful of them (in no particular order, either). I am hoping that it simply a case of the page only showing some of the locations, and not some glitch where my choices somehow didn't all register (which will annoy me no end, since my top choices aren't showing).

where on app manager do you see the geographical preferences? You need to print out your application using app manager and it will print out all of the locations you checked.

They are posted as new threads. Redacted with no names or dates of request, etc.
