Anyone care to speculate on the total aljs to be hired in the next 12 months?

Oh, sure, why not? They will have to hire at least 100 just to keep up with attrition (anecdotally anyway) and with opening new offices, etc. etc. should be 150 or so. From the standpoint of candidates, however, it is not how many but where that matters.

Astrue says 155 as I believe both semipa and morgullord have reported within the last week or so.

Don't forget at least 8-12% attrition between offer and employment; some decline, some don't want to go there, some have skeletons, etc...
