FY 2009 Budget finally through Senate

FY 2009 budget finally cleared Senate today. POTUS should sign by the end of the week if not earlier. ;D

Looks like things should start shifting into high gear soon.

Social Security Administration: To address the unacceptable backlog of disability claims at the Social Security Administration, improve claims processing times, and support field offices the bill provides $709 million above 2008 for a total of $10.5 billion.

So how is this going to translate into hiring new staff and ALJs? I assume as to the latter, OCALJ is constrained by how many trainers they can draft and how many training classes they can do.
