The Certificate

Now that we are on the Register, and the Agency asks OPM for a certificate for certain locations, the next stupid question is when do we get the opportunity to whittle down our geographic preferences?

I would assume before the certificate is sent, but if that is the case, shouldn't we be getting the e-mail to do it pretty soon?

My understanding is the opportunity will come with the email notifying those who are to receive an interview. They will then be given the chance to trim their choices.

When you are notified that you are on the certificate, the notification will contain a list of the cities for which you expressed a preference. You will then to cross out any cities in which you are no longer interested and return the list to ODAR.
