Has anyone received the invitation to interview yet? Any idea when they will arrive? I heard the week of March 16th, but then my crystal ball broke.

Nope - I had predicted Friday the 13th, but must have been looking in the wrong direction at the time.

"Any day now" is the tune I hear around the office. No one I know of (which includes a high scorer or two) has gotten anything yet. ;D

When the invites come, I suspect that it will be immediately evident from even a cursory review of this discussion board. And, in so stating, I believe that I will move from "New Member" to "Member" status (10 posts!).

How many people had mini-heart attacks when they saw the subject line on this thread?

How many people had mini-heart attacks when they saw the subject line on this thread? Heck, I did, and I already have the job. Seriously, best of luck, you'll all be fine, and breathe.

The emails are trickling out... I haven't received one yet. A person in my office with a lower score did a few minutes ago.

Today at 1100 I received an invitation to interview with SSA/ODAR. Haven't had a chance to go through it all yet - there were a lot of attachments. Interviews will be in Falls Church April 13-20 in Falls church. The notice also says (1) SSA will not be re-interviewing candidates that it has previously interviewed; (2) response to the invitation must be faxed NLT March 25; and (3) if a job is offered & accepted, I must be prepared to go to Phase I training (no date given but SSA expects all candidates to enter on duty in summer 2009).
In addition to the OF 306, there's an "ALJ candidate Personal History Form" requiring, among other things, 3 judge references, 3 adversary references, and 3 professional references.

Interested, I suspect, although I could be wrong, that you did not receive an invitation to interview yet. You received a "Notification to ALJ Candidate" which contains the paragraph which states: "If you have not been interviewed by SSA for the ALJ position, you will be contacted within the next few weeks to schedule a personal interview. Interviews will be held between April 13 and April 20, 2009, in Falls Church, Virginia. The interview does not represent an offer of employment. SSA will not be re-interviewing candidates that we have previously interviewed."
This is a precursor to being scheduled for an interview. When the times comes, they will call you to find a time that works for you and then follow that up with an e-mail that is titled: "SSA Office of Disability Adjudication and Review Interview -- MAP ATTACHED."
Please ensure that you are putting out the correct information because if candidates think that others are already getting interviews scheduled, it will cause a whole bunch of unnecessary angst.

Guilty as charged. Sorry for any confusion. Charges dismissed. If I get a Notice like that, I know I'll get just as excited!

I received my "NOTIFICATION TO ALJ CANDIDATE". As noted by other posters, not yet an invitation to interview, but everyone's posting their results on this thread.

It has been determined that there are 6 people over at SSA trying to get these notifications out. It will not be until tomorrow that they will all be sent.
