I received notification also, which is really just a notification to submit additional information. As for the list of cities, my sense is that they are just a repeat of the preferences I listed, rather than the cities that might be available.

It's not "just" a notification to submit additional info. It's the notificiation that you are invited to the dance. You are on the cert for the cities they have listed. If there's no opening, a city won't be listed.

I don't think the list of cities is a repeat of the preferences at all. I'm pretty sure it is a list of available cities. My notification is missing an office which I know does not have an opening and lists an office which I know has an opening. |

My notification is missing an office which I know does not have an opening and lists an office which I know has an opening. FOr what it is worth, my initial geographic pref form filed with my application had around 75 cities and the one I received yesterday had 59. |
