Would it help to get congressional offices to contact ODAR leadership (regional chiefs and chief judge)?

I think it might help if you do not want to be chosen.

Would it help to get congressional offices to contact ODAR leadership (regional chiefs and chief judge)? It might backfire and be construed, to your disadvantage, as an undue intrusion in the selection process.

In any case, it is doubtful a member of Congress would make such a contact - not officially anyway - as the Hatch Act would prevent them from encouraging employment of a constituent.

I did not know that! Interesting info. But I do have a hair-brained theory to offer: A member of congress might be interested if she represented a district with terrible processing rates and SSA failed to use any of that stimulus money to hire ALJs in her district to relieve the backlog.

Good luck with that one

Good luck with that one I'm not sticking my neck out. Zero, I believe that if you did, the feeling would be very much like that of the pilot in your avatar with an F6F Hellcat on his six.
