I assume that, at the interview stage, we will be under consideration for one or more specific locations. Am I correct? And, if so, will we be told what office(s) we are being considered for?

The interviewers will have no idea for which cities you are being considered.

Chieftain, that is not exactly true. In my case one of the interviewers confirmed after the interview that he was aware at the outset that his hearing office was on my list.

I would assume that they know everything about you - just in case.

Whatever they do or do not know about you, they will not be interviewing you for any specific location. In fact you may get some questions that don't apply to you at all, such as being asked if you are willing to travel when the offices you listed have no travel opportunites at all.

Be prepared for all eventualities. My interviewers did not have my complete packet. One of them was frustrated that I did not include relevant information on what he had (essentially my resume) even though I assured him that the relevant info was provided to OPM/SSA in the rest of the packet. One interviewer also believed I could add cities, although I explained that OPM/SSA seemed to say I could not. Good preparation for the job, where you really need to be prepared to expect the unexpected.

The information can be a bit thin but they may well know your cities.
Good luck to everyone.

I should have been more specific. The interviewers will be aware of your geographical preferences, but they will not know for which specific cities, if any, you are being considered under the Rule of Three.

One of my interviewers was the HOCALJ for a certain hearing office. At the conclusion of the interview, the following conversation took place:
ML: Did you know that your hearing office is on my list? J: Yes; you also are on the list for _____, ________, and ______.
Assume that your specific choices are known.
