If the speculation is right and this cert is going to be 120 +/- and not 150ish; working under the assumption that filling space is the "prime directive" in this cert, where are the available seats? I'm particularly interested in availability in : Newark: White Plains: Brooklyn: Jericho:

There are 2 available slots in Jericho, there were 8 ALJs, the office was down to 4 and added two ALJs in 2008 to get to six.

Jericho, and even White Plains will be a long haul every day from the City.

As for the commute to Jericho, be advised that the Jericho office is moving, likely by the fall to Hicksville, spitting distance from the LIRR Hicksville train station, commute time from Penn Station about 43 minutes.

I believe Madison is a small one or two person office. It could be closed and merged with Milwaukee, although that is pure speculation.

Any information on positions open in the bay area? Specifically Oakland, SF, San Rafael, and Stockton? Because of a family situation, I've now had to limit my cities. Thank you.
My mantra: bay area bay area bay area.

Only rumors, but there is talk of New Orleans and Metairie (suburb of N.O. and only 1 parish(county) away) getting 3 more judges-1 for 1 office and 2 at the other. Unknown which may get 2.
