On my Notice of Results, three lines after my name there is a line titled: "Eligibility Expires: October 2010" suggesting that I will have to renew my rating every 3 years.  Anyone else have a take on this little item? |

OPM can offer the exam more than once. They can add to this register many times if they want to do so. But, yes it does look like OPM plans this register to be a multiyear plan.

According to an OPM staffer, the exam will reopen in about a year.

That would correspond with the OPM email indicating that you have to wait 1 year before retaking the exam.

In June, Cristaudo also said it would reopen in about a year.

Do you think Cristaudo and the OPM staffer meant a year from May, which is when we applied, or a year from now?
