I'll ask the question even though I know the answer without asking. I assume everyone who has received these emails was in AR status?
Congratulations to those going on to the next round.

I have received my email invitation also. FWIW, I was AR status, also. I am a "seasoned" med mal litigator with no ODAR-SSA experience, no veterans' pref.
Good luck to all!

Sorry IL, but it looks like the AR status was the one to be in to move on. Thanks for the congratulatory message. I wouldn't give up yet if I was you, I would appeal any NOR. Good luck with that if you decide to do so.

See Details Tab got me this:
As indicated in the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Job Opportunity Announcement, upon completion of the ALJ online assessment, notice would be sent to applicants whose performance in the initial phase of the assessment process did not place them within the range for the higher-scored sub-group of all the eligible applicants. The online assessment process included a Situational Judgment Test (SJT), Writing Sample, and Experience Assessment.
We regret to inform you that your overall score on the SJT, Writing Sample, and Experience Assessment was not among the higher-scored sub-group of all the eligible applicants. As a result, your application will no longer be considered for the current ALJ examination and you will not be invited to participate in the subsequent assessments. In determining the higher-scored sub-group of all the eligible applicants who participated in the initial phase of the assessment process, veterans’ preference points were considered for applicants who were entitled to veterans’ preference and had submitted the required documentation.
Please note that this is an interim notice. As stated in the JOA, OPM will send to you a Notice of Results and Notification of Appeal Rights after the administration of the ALJ examination is completed for the entire group that participated in the examination.
Sincerely,
The Administrative Law Judge Program Office

I received the invite, too. I was AR status. My experience is in the labor and employment litigation field - mostly private sector in federal court but the past 5 years in the federal administrative arena. Best of luck to all!

16 years as a state ALJ doesn't mean much, apparently. Good luck to those moving on.

16 years as a state ALJ doesn't mean much, apparently. Good luck to those moving on. It had nothing to do where where you worked, but how well you scored on Phase 2. I have been a private practitioner for over 25 years doing SSA disability cases and the last 4 years working for a state government doing the same, but helping those with state disability acquire SSA disability.
