Anybody else testing on August 12 and 13th? From everybody's posts, it looks like only one round of tests & SI per week starting August 5th.

I hate to kill a good theory before it gets started, but my last name falls right in the middle of the alphabet and I am testing on 8/5 (which might be the first day of testing)...

I am later in the alphabet than my friend and have earlier testing.

I'm starting to think alphabetical by last name played a big part in scheduling. One of my good friends just emailed and has the exact same dates and si time as me. His last name starts w same letter as mine. We are gonna share a room and cut costs. He halfway across the country from me so I think the last name thing did it. Wondering this myself. I'm in the last half of alphabet, and clearly one of the later scheduled candidates. Early in the alphabet and later in testing. So much for that theory. Cheers!

They sorted it by score on Phase 2, lowest scores go first, highest scores go last lol...and there I was thinking the highest score went first Given my time slot for the SI, I might also have the first SI of the process as well...my guess it is all random (unless veteran preference holders have been slotted first, but I haven't heard from enough veterans to do know if that is the case)...

LOL, I will add to the speculation. 10 point vet, middle of alphabet going 8/7 and 8/8 so it must be he higher scorers going first

Shall we start speculating about the number of candidates. Looks like 8 weeks of testing. I don't remember how many people they tested in one setting last time around, but I don't think it was more than 50. 400 people total? Just a guess of course. Will have to wait to see how many people they are testing each day.

For sake of the theory lets say 50 a day is it. We also see that everyone is back to back wd and si. And we know wd must precede si. To keep those facts true, wd would have to start on a monday and end on a thursday with si starting on tuesdays and going thru friday. So if the limit is 50 a day, 4 days a week, that is 200 a week. 8 weeks of that means 1600. Take out labor day and have a few open slots for reschedulers built in and I think the original hypothesized 1500 phase 3 contestants is pretty darn close.

I am an SSA employee. I applied thru USAJOBS and then clicked over to my existing Application Manager account to finish the application. Application Manager had my SSA email address as my contact info. (USAJOBS has a different email account.) I received confirmation of completion of Phase 1, an invite to Phase 2, and confirmation of completion of Phase 2, all at my SSA address. I have received absolutely nothing for Phase 3. My status in Application Manager is "See Details Tab," so I'm not hopeful. Nevertheless, I would really like my answer. Have sent three emails in one service ticket thread to ALJApplication@opm.gov (the help desk). Sent two more today after seeing that everyone invited is now receiving additional Phase 3 info. USAJOBS said it could not help, contact OPM via at the aforementioned address. I have attempted to call two numbers, an old one listed on this board, 478-744-2176 (which results in a busy signal), and 202-606-8100 (the main number for OPM, but you can't get transferred to the ALJ Program Office - it directs you to contact such departments online - and there does not appear to be a way to get a person on the phone through this line). I am out of options and go on vacation at the end of next week. If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know. Also wanted to add to the queue of "still waiting," for whomever wants to know. Sounds like you have done all you can do. The bad news seems to be the SD status. I don't think anyone with that status has said that they moved on. I also have not heard anyone say they got a response from all the tickets that were created with the last status change, missing emails and such. I have no doubt they have thousands of emails since many have emailed several times. I am so sorry you are in this limbo hell. Ugh. It sounds like the ones that did not have email confirmation with AR status are getting the email with the testing dates. Sorry this doesn't help.

I am a 5 pointer and I'm in the middle of September. So, I don't know that there is any rhyme or reason. i expect it was all done via random selection.

LOL! Thanks funky! Yep, sounds like a good number. Lets carry on out the wild a$$ baseless speculation. So there are 1500 dc bound applicants (maybe). From previous theories we made a SWAG that through personal decisions, email snafu and travel mishaps maybe 10% fail to show at their scheduled time in dc. ALJ friends tell me maybe 10% of those tested so flub the tests or interviews that they fail to make the minimum score to get on the register. If those guesstimations are accurate, 300 of the 1500 don't make the register. If you consider the rumors that over the next two years SSA will have 300 vacancies, and add in a few dozen vacancies at other agencies and finally consider some that will have such low scores as to never make a cert...the 1200 register is pretty close the the required 3 candidates for each opening. Give me a few minutes and I will give you the algebraic equation that shows SSAALJ equals FUNKY.

Sandiferhands, I got the same dates as you - Sep. 16 and 17. I was really hoping for that week but they are the worst possible dates. I was already going to be in DC for a national arbitration set for...you guessed it...Sep. 17. Working to get the arbitrtion rescheduled to Sep. 19 - fingers crossed. I really do not want to reschedule my dates with OPM.

I have 9/11 and 9/12. SI at 845. Would it be safe to book 4 pm flight on 12th. Your SI will only take an hour on the AM of the 12th, so that should be no problem.

I am thinking 1200-1400 going on to DC. based upon testing dates. By the way, my dates are 9/9 and 9/10.
