Bob is the Guru of all things ALJ. If he doesn't do it, he knows who does and he directs you accordingly. He is the nicest thing this Agency has going for itself.

Don't put off starting completion of the cert. forms. If you fill them out, and call or meet with all of your references and former supervisors to update them with status of your application, it takes a significant amount of time.

Yes, get the forms in on time. Then, prep your references. You don't have to do both by Friday.

For better or worse, I have completed my forms and sent them in. One step at a time with fingers crossed.

Application submitted. That process took a lot longer than I thought it would. Oh well, another hurdle cleared. Finish line, one way or another, in sight.

Based upon what I'm reading in this thread, it appears that the process for the ODAR cert is very different than for the OMHA cert. Am I correct or am I missing something?

Nothing but the waiting now.

That's exactly right. I only have four (4) cities for my GAL, one of which is Denver. However, none of my four cities are on the ODAR cert.

However, if SSA moves quicker than OMHA and hires up some of the smart people who also made the OMHA Denver cert, then maybe I'll have a shot!

When you emailed all your forms/info, did you receive a confirmation that they got it?

Did not get a confirmation from ODAR. Did get a confirmation from OMHA. I recall ODAR said they would call if they didn't get a complete package from a candidate.

Thanks. I don't have a scanner, had to have OfficeMax scan and send. Got the confirmation from them that there were no errors on sending, but just a little nervous. Particularly when I didn't get my email for the Cert until Monday when it said it was sent on Friday.

When you emailed all your forms/info, did you receive a confirmation that they got it? Although OMHA allowed for our initial response of interest to be e-mailed, they specifically requested that our documents be mailed and not emailed. Therefore, I sent the originals Express Mail overnight--with signature receipt required--to OMHA. I checked today and verified that my documents were signed for and received at OMHA.
Did the ODAR cert allow for the documents to be emailed?

But for removing my name and the name, address, and phone number of the sender, this is the entirety of the email I received:

ODAR specifically requested reply by e-mail but allowed for a fax option. Mailed applications are not accepted by ODAR, likely due to the volume.

That's tough ob100.
On one hand, you are right that you could get a great interview on record. But you could also be noted as "that guy that made us go to all the trouble of interviewing and considering him then bowed out."
If you bow out preinterview.......I don't see much downside. Assuming some cities on the second cert match your gal, you would likely be very high on the list once many of those above you are hired or struck so not on the second cert.
