All right, fine. I should have put it up for a vote. What about SCOB? "Second cert or beyond." It will be much more fun to send out scobbies (scobbys?) that way. Plus, I want to leave it open for all of our 3rd and 4th certers, most likely myself. I can live with SCOB fearless leader, just not SCAB. SCOB is fine with me.

This is how I imagine our secret hand shake would work in practice. Except we are all Bill Maher and none of us is Snoop. imgur.com/nPsQa20

Gaidin, this happened to me today. Someone tried to fist bump me. To make it worse, it was a person who outranked me at work. I never did a fist bump in my life, so I just kind of laughed and looked stupid. That was really awkward. I hope they don't do that at the interview. But as a secret handshake an aborted fist bump would be awesome!

I'm also within the demographic and I have trouble doing the complicated move of climbing out of bed.

I, too, can do the fist bump and other more complicated handshakes should we decide to go that route. LOL

Something that looks like we are way to cool to care about looking cool would be good. My fourteen-year-old told me there is a new derogatory word called a "try-hard." We really want to avoid looking like try-hards. But wait, trying to act to cool to care about looking cool is the definition of "try-hard." This is maddening.

In order to not have the women feel excluded we should avoid the "head nod." But likewise some guys aren't super comfortable with hugging. I found this out after I spent a weekend at a retreat with a bunch of tough guys that insisted on manly hugs at every turn. "NO ONE ARMERS!" I got back and hugged this guy who was helping me load some weights. He looked at me funny.
